Contest Rules
Excellent Taste Awards & Mediterranean Taste Awards 2026
1. Eligibility
The Contest is open to individuals aged 18 or older who register at excellenttaste.co. It is open worldwide, except where prohibited by law. Employees of Agatha Ingredients LTD, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers, and their immediate family members or household members are not eligible. The Contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations.
2. Agreement to Rules
By entering, you (“Contestant”) agree to comply fully with these Rules and confirm you meet eligibility requirements. You also accept that decisions made by Agatha Ingredients LTD are final and binding.
3. Contest Period & Entry
Dates: September 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026.
How to Enter: Complete the online entry form at excellenttaste.co with all required information. Incomplete or fraudulent entries will be disqualified. Each contestant may enter only once.
Payment: Once one or more products have been registered and payment completed, an invoice (including VAT for UK companies) will be issued. This invoice serves as the only tax document.
4. Eligible Participants & Products
Open to food producers, artisan makers, crop and livestock farmers, importers, distributors, and retailers of food and drink specialties.
Products requiring special equipment for tasting are not eligible.
All products must be safe for human consumption and accompanied by accurate preparation instructions where applicable.
Entry Fees:
Early Registration (Sept 1 – Dec 31, 2025): €80 per brand per category.
Standard Registration (Jan 1 – Mar 31, 2026): €95 per brand per category.
No refunds will be provided for late, missing, or disqualified products.
5. Judging & Evaluation
Products are blind-tasted by independent tasters with no knowledge of brand or producer details.
Sensory evaluation (sight, smell, taste, touch, hearing) is used under strict quality control.
A proprietary online scoring platform ensures transparency and security.
Products can be entered in multiple categories. Each category counts as a separate product.
6. Product Delivery & Packaging
Products must arrive by the deadline in their original retail packaging, including “consume by” date, ingredients, and allergens.
All outer packages must use official competition labels (room temperature, refrigerated, or frozen).
Participants are responsible for proper packaging, shipping, and ensuring safe delivery. Damaged, unsafe, or late products may be disqualified.
7. Prizes
Winners will be awarded Platinum, Gold, or Silver recognition. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Winners consent to the use of their name, image, and product details for promotional purposes.
8. Winner Selection & Notification
Winners are chosen by the Judging Panel and will be notified via email and the website within five (5) days. Failure to respond within 30 days may result in forfeiture of the prize.
9. Rights & Responsibilities
By entering, you grant Agatha Ingredients LTD worldwide rights to use your entry and related materials for promotional purposes without further compensation. You warrant that your entry is original and does not infringe on third-party rights.
10. Terms & Conditions
Agatha Ingredients LTD reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest due to fraud, technical issues, or other circumstances beyond its control. Entrants attempting to tamper with the contest process may be disqualified.
11. Liability & Disputes
By entering, you release Agatha Ingredients LTD, its affiliates, and partners from liability for any losses, damages, or injuries arising from participation. The Contest is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom and Buckinghamshire courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes.
12. Privacy & Sponsor
Personal information will be handled according to Agatha Ingredients LTD’s Privacy Policy. The Contest is sponsored by Agatha Ingredients LTD.
